Voor de derde keer op rij worden de SSA Awards uitgereikt met als doel om innovatieve ontwikkelingen te stimuleren in de beveiligings- & brandveiligheidsbranche. In 2011 heeft de verkiezing een geheel nieuwe opzet gekregen en inzending staan dit jaar ook open voor niet-exposanten.

Alle 26 nominaties worden tijdens de beurs in de Award Plaza aan de bezoekers gepresenteerd. Op de eerste beursdag, dinsdag 15 maart van van 18.00 tot 19.00 uur, worden de in totaal 10 awards uitgereikt in de SSA Village. Presentatrice deze avond is Astrid Joosten.
